tynamite Art

I’m Ty, the artist behind Tynamite Art. My work moves across painting, sculpture, writing, commissions, and prints. Most pieces start with something I notice and can’t quite leave alone: a scene, a shape, a memory, or a small tension that keeps asking for attention.

Before focusing more fully on art, I spent over two decades working in technical design and visualization, including 3D rendering, CAD modelling, simulations, and spatial measurement. That background still shapes how I build images, giving the work a constructed quality rather than a purely decorative one.

The work often sits between observation, memory, humour, and structure. Some pieces come from private commissions or personal stories. Others come from following an image until it feels clear enough to stand on its own.

MY APPROACH

A lot of this has lived quietly in the studio for a long time: paintings, studies, sculptures, writings, ideas, half-finished things, finished things, and the odd creature from the corner of the desk. This site is a way to start letting the work out into the world without waiting for everything to be perfectly resolved.

Support through prints, commissions or simply following along helps create more room to keep making, experimenting, and sharing what comes next.

WHY I’M SHARING THIS

This unfinished piece keeps pulling at a familiar tension: chasing beautiful things, getting knocked around a little, and still looking for meaning in the chaos.

It may change before it’s finished. That’s part of the point.
